When James suggested we try the keto several years ago, I was totally against it. My philosophy is diet fads just don’t work. I’ve always believed that eating healthy foods in the right quantity was what was important for a good diet. And while I still think this is true, now I understand that the keto diet is not just a fad to try for a while and then stop. It’s an incredible lifestyle!

Because many people want to know the specifics and what it’s like to completely change our eating habits, I thought it would be great to share the top 10 Keto books I think will change your life.

Are you ready???

The Obesity Code by Dr. Jason Fung

This was possibly one of the best books I’ve read regarding health and nutrition.  It was very well written, easy to understand, and addressed so many of the health crises that plague our country today.  A must read for anyone struggling with being overweight.

Eat Bacon, Don’t Jog by Grant Petersen

Again, one of the best books I’ve read.  This book is probably the easiest read of any nutrition book I’ve read so far.  It’s simple, it’s to the point, and it’s got great information.  It gives basics for how to eat a low carb/high fat diet, it gives great exercise ideas if you WANT to exercise, and it has some good recipes. So this has to be in the Top 10 Keto books recommendation! (One side note – there’s a section about evolution that was a little out there for me so I just skimmed through that and moved on to the next section.)

Complete Keto by Drew Manning

This is one of my favorites because he does a great job of explaining what keto is and how it works for our bodies.  It’s an easy read and easy to understand.  He also has tons of great recipes in the book – many of which we use on a regular basis!

Keto Diet by Dr. Josh Axe

This was another favorite that gives a great explanation of what a keto lifestyle is and how it should look but he comes at it as a medical doctor so he goes into how keto is beneficial for your health and how it can help heal diseases. He also has many recipes to use.

The Keto Cure by Dr. Adam S. Nally

This book was great for learning how our diet affects our health and how it can cause disease or prevent disease in our bodies. If your health isn’t in great shape, this would be a great one to read.

Metabolical by Dr. Robert H. Lustig

This is a great book that walks through nutrition, information about processed food, and how all of this affects our health and causes disease today.  It was very eye opening and educational.

Effortless Healing by Joseph Mercola

I loved this book because he gave a list of things that we can do to make our lives healthier and more well rounded in many ways.  This book is not just about diet and nutrition but being the healthiest you can be through a variety of methods to incorporate into your life.

Chris Beat Cancer by Chris Wark

Chris is a cancer survivor who completely cured himself with diet and nutrition.  This book walks through the changes he made to his diet and explains what foods are helpful when fighting cancer – as well as just providing overall health.  Since cancer is so prevalent in our country (and I’m learning our diet has a LOT to do with that) this book could help you.

The Case for Keto by Gary Taubes

This is a great book that explains what keto is, how we got to where we are as a culture with our diet, and what to do to make yourself healthier.

Why We Get Sick by Benjamin Bikman PhD

Another great book that explains how so many diseases are a direct result of our diet.

There are so many of great keto and nutritional books.

Of course there are many other wellness resources I could recommend but there are definitely the top 10 keto books that changed our lives and the ones I believe will change yours too!

And if you’re not into reading to learn more about these wellness topics, don’t worry. I’ll be writing more articles about all the valuable information I’ve learned. It’s a real passion of mine and I can’t wait to share!!!

Until next time. Remember to Remain Strong. 😉
